Dr. McAfee was born and raised in the Air Force. She has lived in 3 states and 2 foreign countries all before the age of nine, but lived in southern Illinois, near St. Louis, most of her life. She has always loved all animals, and becoming a veterinarian was her way of helping and speaking for them. Dr. McAfee went to the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and following graduation; did an internship in the Chicago area. She stayed in Chicago for another 7 years, but wanted to come back to a small town practice and be closer to family. She has interest in feline and exotic medicine and hopes to advance her skills in surgery.

Dr. McAfee enjoys spending time with her 2 cats and a turtle while not at the hospital.
